Why did you decide to form the Rogue Bunnies?
The name says it all—Rogue Bunnies are Legacy Playmates who went rogue. After Hugh Hefner passed away, the current stewardship of Playboy veered far from the “girl next door” mystique that Hefner carefully built over 70 years. The brand shifted towards explicit adult content and diluted the aspirational essence that combined beauty, brains, and entertainment with compelling writing and cultural relevance. The exclusive legacy of the Playboy Playmates was being lost as anyone could now claim the title through subscription platforms.
To preserve this valuable cultural IP, we had to take control and establish our own distinct brand separate from Playboy. I chose blockchain technology and Web3 because they represent the new “rogue” media—a decentralized platform allowing us to connect with audiences on our own terms, innovate content offerings, and engage both our existing fans and entirely new communities within the Web3 space.
What’s been the biggest challenge working in an emerging Web3 industry?
Educating traditional Web2 followers, our loyal fan base, about crypto, blockchain, and decentralized finance wallets has been a steep hill to climb. Introducing a new technology to an “old school” audience inevitably comes with hurdles. However, the opportunity to stake our claim early in the yet unsaturated Web3 arena made the effort worthwhile.
What are your plans for the Rogue Bunnies in the future?
The future is boundless for Rogue Bunnies. We are building a solid foundation and scalable infrastructure to evolve as a media and entertainment brand, content creators, and influencers. Unlike the adult content platforms dominating the market, Rogue Bunnies aspires to be the next inspirational mainstream brand, offering non-nude, PG-rated sexy content that showcases beauty, talent, and the girl-next-door charm. This positions us uniquely amid a global surge in explicit content consumption.
How does Rogue Bunnies handle internal drama?
Clear communication and transparency are key. Rogue Bunnies doesn’t seek to control its talent but acts as a collective of entrepreneurial, like-minded women sharing core public personas and values. We focus our energy on future goals rather than indulging in drama or negativity.
How do you respond to the label of Rogue Bunnies as a pornography brand?
That assumption is understandable given our origins. But from the outset, I chose not to include nudity in Rogue Bunnies. Being labeled as an adult content brand limits perception and outreach. While adult content can be lucrative, our mission is to build a mainstream brand with wider appeal.
Will Rogue Bunnies have a centralized hub like the Playboy Mansion?
There will never be another Playboy Mansion, but yes, we plan a centralized hub for our community to gather—taking inspiration from the original Mansion experience. We envision a venue for real-life events where diverse people come together to enjoy the Rogue Bunnies lifestyle and spirit.
What’s your take on gender relations and the “gender wars” in mainstream culture?
Masculine and feminine energies define and complement each other—they shouldn’t battle. Embracing differences rather than creating conflict fosters harmony. Rogue Bunnies aims to bring people together to have fun and enjoy each other’s company amidst a culture filled with division.
Do Rogue Bunnies support feminism or a balance of masculine and feminine energies?
Each Rogue Bunny has her own view, ranging from traditional to feminist perspectives. Women have overcome major barriers, and supporting each other’s strengths and weaknesses can unite different outlooks. Empowerment and celebrating womanhood are at our core, but mutual respect and appreciation between genders are equally valued.
What is your favorite aspect of being a Rogue Bunnie and a Playmate?
Being part of an exclusive sorority of iconic women chosen by Hugh Hefner is a profound honor. The Legacy Playmates embodied a cultural phenomenon that extended beyond the magazine into society, art, and entertainment. That history and sisterhood is a source of nostalgia and pride.
How does the Mansion 2.0 party experience capture the original essence?
Nothing will ever replace Hefner’s Mansion and his presence, but creating a luxurious venue filled with Rogue Bunnies and giving guests VIP treatment is our way of honoring that spirit. At our events, egos are left at the door to celebrate life and camaraderie.
