November 26, 2024 – Mantle, an Ethereum layer 2 (L2) network and comprehensive on-chain ecosystem, has announced its expansion into Latin America. In partnership with Odisea Labs, Mantle aims to support local developers in deploying and integrating projects on the Mantle Network, a key component of its ecosystem.
Significantly, Mantle’s ecosystem encompasses Mantle Network, Mantle Governance (a decentralized autonomous organization, or DAO), Mantle Treasury (valued at $2.4 billion), and the mETH Protocol for liquid Ether staking. Since its launch on July 17, 2023, the Mantle Network has secured over $2.1 billion in total value locked (TVL), making it one of the most prominent Ethereum L2 networks.

Key Initiatives in Latin America
Mantle’s expansion will focus on strengthening the local crypto ecosystem through several initiatives:
- Accelerator Program: Starting January 2024, a 10-week program will support 15-20 early-stage projects addressing challenges in decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, education, and more.
- Mantle Tour: In December 2024, the Mantle team will visit Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Bogotá, and Mexico City to engage with developers, host mentoring sessions, and promote adoption.
- Community Engagement: Mantle LatAm has launched an active online presence with resources in Spanish, Telegram groups, and an NFT collection celebrating regional builders.
