CoinFlip Launches Wallet App in Australia and New Zealand

MELBOURNE, Australia— CoinFlip, a global digital currency platform, has introduced its Wallet app in Australia and New Zealand to streamline cryptocurrency transactions and enhance accessibility. The app, announced on November 20, 2024, provides users with tools for secure digital asset management, aligning with a growing demand for self-custody solutions in the region.

The CoinFlip Wallet enables users to locate nearby ATMs, pre-register for higher transaction limits, and manage cryptocurrencies in one interface. This complements CoinFlip’s global network of over 5,000 cryptocurrency ATMs, which process more than 2,000 transactions monthly.

“As an AUSTRAC-registered Digital Currency Exchange, CoinFlip complies with all Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements to ensure investor confidence from the first transaction,” the company stated. CoinFlip prioritizes security and reliability for its 400,000+ global customers.

Addressing Market Barriers

CoinFlip’s Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, Ben Brockliss, emphasized the company’s commitment to breaking down barriers for new cryptocurrency users. “CoinFlip is dedicated to making crypto accessible and secure while focusing on education around adoption,” Brockliss said.

With a median investment of $5,100 in cryptocurrency reported by Australians in 2023, CoinFlip’s ATMs offer a straightforward and secure method to buy and sell cryptocurrencies using cash. The Wallet app furthers this accessibility, allowing users to control their digital assets with ease.

Enhanced Security and Support

The Wallet app employs the native security features of smartphones, requiring users to set up backup passwords and save recovery codes during setup. As a self-custodial solution, the app ensures that users maintain complete control over their assets.

CoinFlip also provides 24/7 customer support, leveraging a team trained to prevent fraud and assist users. The company uses advanced blockchain analytics tools to block transactions involving suspicious wallet addresses.

Available on both iOS and Android platforms, the CoinFlip Wallet can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play.
