PancakeSwap Launches Programmable DeFi UX with Brevis Integration

pancakeswap brevis

PancakeSwap and Brevis have launched a new intelligent user experience on PancakeSwap Infinity, the latest version of the DEX. Notably, the new DeFi UX introduces personalized and programmable trading features using zero-knowledge (ZK) technology.

The upgrade integrates Brevis’ advanced ZK system into PancakeSwap Infinity’s architecture, enabling the use of “hooks”. These are externally deployed smart contracts that modify or extend core Automated Market Maker (AMM) actions such as swaps and liquidity provisioning. This marks a significant shift in DeFi, allowing real-time customizations of fees and rewards based on user behavior.

It’s the first of its kind because until now, most DeFi protocols treated users identically, regardless of their contribution or engagement. However, the Brevis-powered integration changes this by offering customizable interactions based on verifiable historical data while preserving decentralization.

Commenting on the upgrade, Michael Dong, co-founder and CEO of Brevis said:

Bringing trustless, intelligent user experiences, we’re moving beyond static trading environments to dynamic, adaptive systems that can personalize incentives, fees, and rewards based on real behavior.”

PancakeSwap Infinity Adds User-Aware Trading With ZK Hooks

Key Features Include:

  • Token Holder Discount Hook: Offers automatic fee reductions for users based on their time-averaged holdings of designated ERC-20 tokens. Eligibility is verified through Brevis’ ZK attestations.
  • Trading Volume Discount Hook: Rewards traders with fee discounts depending on their accumulated trading volume within specific liquidity pools over preset timeframes, eliminating the need for staking or manual verification.

These features are implemented via the Brevis Portal, which allows developers and liquidity providers to configure and manage hook contracts. Also, it supports both Concentrated Liquidity AMM and Liquidity Book AMM pool types.

The integration allows PancakeSwap’s routing system to fetch attested user data, calculate optimal swap paths, and apply applicable fee structures instantly. All operations are performed trustlessly, ensuring the system remains non-custodial and permissionless.

Brevis Brings Zero-Knowledge Computation to DeFi UX

According to Brevis, the system leverages ZK technology to perform off-chain computation that can be verified on-chain. This drastically reduces operational costs while maintaining Layer-1 (L1) security standards.

Meanwhile, Brevis is developing additional hook types that will further expand dynamic capabilities. These include:

  • Real-time dynamic fees based on market volatility and liquidity.
  • Intelligent LP (liquidity provider) rewards that adjust based on contribution behavior.
  • Custom logic blocks for gamified rewards or governance-based incentives.

Developers interested in leveraging the new capabilities can begin deploying hook-enabled liquidity pools through the Brevis Portal starting today.
