TRON Gains Token API and Substreams as The Graph Expands Integration
  • The Graph adds TRON support with Token API and Substreams to deliver real-time, pre-indexed data.
  • TRON’s high-volume network sees boosted analytics access, supporting millions of daily transactions.
  • Developers gain streamlined tools for DeFi, payments, and custom indexing across major TRON DEXs.

Nov. 13 (Crypto-News.Net) – The Graph added support for TRON blockchain, launching Token API and Substreams tools for enterprise developers.

The Token API delivers pre-indexed data for TRON token prices and swaps on decentralized exchanges, per the company blog post. Substreams offers modules for building custom applications with real-time blockchain data.

Pinax, a core development team in The Graph ecosystem, will expand support for additional exchanges based on developer demand.

Data Infrastructure for High-Volume Network

TRON processes approximately 76.6 million stablecoin transactions daily, Artemis data shows. The network maintains 2.9 million daily active addresses. The blockchain ranks second by total value locked, with $4.795 billion in DeFi protocols. TRON-based exchanges recorded $99.7 million in 24-hour volume as of Nov. 13.

Token API Features

The API supports hundreds of trading pairs across JustSwap, SunSwap, and SunPump. Developers can query token prices, volumes, and liquidity metrics without building custom indexing infrastructure.

Enterprise applications access both real-time and historical data through standardized endpoints. The API eliminates the technical overhead of maintaining direct blockchain connections.

Substreams for Custom Development

Substreams uses parallel processing to handle high-throughput applications. The technology supports payment systems processing thousands of transactions per second.

Foundational Stores provide reusable data structures. Developers combine these to build indexing solutions for specific use cases beyond standard token queries.

Application Development

The infrastructure supports several application types, The Block reported. These include portfolio trackers and analytics tools using live blockchain metrics.

JustLend and SunSwap benefit from the data streaming capabilities. The integration provides these protocols with standardized access to network activity.

Network Background

The Graph began operations in 2018. The protocol now serves multiple networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Avalanche. The network operated 12,402 active subgraphs as of the first quarter, with 99 indexers maintaining stake, per Messari’s report. Multiple development teams contribute to the ecosystem, including Pinax, Edge & Node, StreamingFast, and GraphOps. The Graph Foundation manages the decentralized network.
